Docs
Docs are your organization’s handbook: policies, how-tos, onboarding, scripts, and playbooks. Write them once and link them from any workflow.
Open Organization → Docs. You need Manage docs to create and edit docs.
Find a doc
The list has Start here, Starred, All docs, and Archived. Use Find a doc to search. Docs can have sub-pages, shown under their parent.
Write a doc
- Select New doc.
- Give it a Title and an icon (Change icon).
- Write it. Headings appear under On this page.
- It saves as you go.
Each doc keeps a Version history. Open it to see earlier versions and Restore this version.
Doc settings
Open Doc settings to choose:
- Who can read: Everyone in the Dashboard or Only these people. Sub-pages follow this, and people without access never see the doc.
- Anyone who can read it can change it: let readers edit it too.
- Star for everyone: pin it for your whole team.
- Stage guide for: attach it to workflow stages. Items in those stages show a link to it.
- Inside: make it a sub-page of another doc, or keep it at the Top level.
Ask people to acknowledge a doc
For policies and handbooks, turn on Require acknowledgment. Choose Everyone who can read it or Only these people. Readers see Please read this and confirm and select I’ve read this.
You’ll see how many have read it. Select Remind to nudge the rest, or Ask everyone again after a big change. Docs waiting for your acknowledgment show on your home page.
Comments
Use Comments at the bottom of a doc for questions and suggestions. Type @ to mention someone.
Watch, share, and archive
- Watch to hear about edits.
- Copy link to share it.
- Archive to retire a doc. Restore it from Archived.
