Motion
Motion gives your site a little life: sections fade or slide in as visitors scroll to them. Set it once for the whole site, then give any section its own motion, or none.
Motion for the whole site
Open the Site tab in the panel and find Motion. Every section uses it unless you give the section its own.
Pick how sections come in: None, Fade, Fade up, From the left, From the right, Zoom in, or Focus. Then fine-tune it:
- Strength: Gentle or Lively.
- Speed: from Quick to Slow.
- Lists come in one after another: items like cards and photos follow each other in. Set the Time between items, from Close together to Spread out.
- Section touches: each kind of section moves in its own way. Hero lines come in reading order, timelines draw, galleries form a mosaic, and columns meet in the middle.
- Cards and buttons lift under the pointer.
- Fade between pages.
Select Play the page to watch it on the canvas.
Motion for one section
Select a section, open the Section tab, and select Style. Under Motion:
- Site: uses the site’s motion.
- Its own: pick a different way in for just this section.
- None: the section stays still.
When the section moves, you can also pick its Touch for this section, or Just the entrance so the whole section comes in together. The choices depend on the section, like Lines in order for a Hero or Mosaic for a Gallery.
Select Speed & timing to change the Strength, Speed, Wait before starting, and Items come in one after another just for this section. Use the site’s speed & timing puts them back.
Select Play to watch the section.
Sections with their own motion, or none, show a small icon in the page’s Sections list.
From the quick-style bar
When you select a section on the canvas, the quick-style bar has a Motion menu: Site motion, None, or any of the ways in. Select Play motion to watch it.
