Get a ticket for someone
People can get tickets in a few ways:
- Your website or a link you share.
- The Culminate Life app, or your own white-label app.
- The Community Portal app, at a welcome desk.
- The dashboard, which is what this guide covers. It’s handy for phone registrations or people who need help.
Get tickets in the dashboard
Open Get Tickets
Go to Community → Events, select the Tickets tab, pick the event, and select Add ticket.
Choose the person
Search for the person the tickets are for. If they’re not in your organization yet, select Create a Person.
If the ticket has criteria and the person doesn’t meet them, you’ll see This person does not meet the criteria to get a ticket. You can still give them a ticket from the dashboard. It’s the only place you can.
Fill in the ticket
What you fill in depends on the ticket type:
- Basic ticket: enter the Quantity.
- Name ticket: enter the Quantity, then the Attendee names, a first and last name for each ticket.
- Form ticket: select Add attendee and fill out the form for each ticket you want to create.
If the event is nearly full, you’ll see how many spots are left. Turn on Sell past capacity if you need to go over.
Take payment
If the ticket is free, you’ll see No payment required. Otherwise:
- Choose How they’ll pay: in full, or a deposit or installments if the payment offers them.
- Pick a Discount if they have a code. Discounts only work when paying in full.
- Check the Total, what’s Due now, the Balance after, and the payment Schedule.
- Choose cash, a saved card, or a new card.
Confirm
The tickets are created, the person is notified, and the tickets appear in the table.
