Family
A family keeps a household together in the app. It’s what makes check-in and family event registration work, and it lets parents manage their children’s accounts.
Families in the app are the same families you see in the dashboard under Families.
Create a family
From Profile → Family, select Create Family. The person who creates it is the first parent.
Invite another parent
Select Invite a Parent or Guardian and enter their email. They get an email and a notification, and have the same controls once they join. If they don’t have an account yet, the invite waits for them. Pending invites show Invite Pending and can be resent or cancelled.
Add children
Select Add Child, then choose:
- Enter Their Info: for children under 13 or without an account. The parent manages their profile.
- Invite with Email: for children 13 and older. They accept from their own account.
After adding a child, parents can fill in their check-in info right away or later.
Share a child with a caregiver
From a child’s page, Share with Someone Else lets a grandparent or caregiver check the child in and register them for events. They can’t edit the child’s info. Parents can Stop Sharing at any time.
Parent controls
On each child’s page, parents choose who can send the child Direct Messages. Direct messages are available from age 14, and always follow age rules: 14–17-year-olds can only message people 14 to 17, and adults can only message adults. Parents can turn them off entirely.
Leave or delete a family
At 18, a child can leave the family from the Family page. Parents can remove family members, leave a family, or delete it. Accounts and check-in info stay.
