Check in and out

Check-out

Scan a pick-up code, check kids out, and get siblings ready at another room.

Check-out makes sure every child goes home with the right grown-up. It happens on an admin device, usually at the classroom door.

The Check-out tab

It has three lists for this device’s location:

ListWho’s in it
Checked InChildren here right now.
PrepareChildren whose parent is on the way, because they checked out a sibling at another room.
Checked OutChildren checked out from this location today.

Search, sort by first or last name, and use Switch check-in location to change rooms.

Check a family out

Scan their code

Scan the parent’s pick-up pass from the app, or the barcode on their printed check-out tag. You can also scan the code on a child’s name tag. Or select Enter Code and type it.

Confirm

You’ll see the children on that code who are here, with Check Out. Check who you’re handing over, then select Check Out.

If you check someone out by mistake, select Undo.

Siblings in other rooms

If the family has children in another room, the confirmation shows them under Prepare at Their Location. They appear in Prepare on that room’s device (with “parent is on the way”), so the leaders can have them ready. If the parent already has those children with them, select Check Out Here.

Auto check-out

To skip the confirmation screen, turn on Auto Check-out in Settings → Information. Families are checked out as soon as their code is scanned. It applies to that device only.

When a code doesn’t work

MessageWhat it means

Everyone on this tag has already been checked out.The family has already gone. Check Checked Out.
Not Checked In HereNone of the family’s children are at this location. The message tells you where they are.
